Barb Wired Daises

The daises

            Drip

With blood while

The sun

            Snickers

With a smile

Don’t you feel it too?

My soul seeps

            Into every man I meet

Dusting me off like you would

Empty an urn

Because when they see me

They see fragments of a flower

Yet find my veins to be flowering with weeds

A muddy heart

Eaten by the sun

Half-alive
